Way Back When-esday - First Family Photo

Linking up with Twinfatuation Way Back When-esday. Thanks Cheryl for letting me play along!

This 1st family photo was taken by one of Molly and Luke's NICU nurses Carrie on March 22nd 2008. That would make them 5 weeks old! I wonder if she would even remember us?!?! I know I will never forget her!

Not only did she take our first family photo....she also took the first photo on me holding both my babies at the same time! I still remember that feeling today! It was so surreal!

Can you see the joy and pride in my eyes! :)

These 2 pictures show how tiny they still were. Luke had just moved to an open crib! If my memory serves me right I think they had to weigh 3.5 pounds before they would test to see if they could hold their body temperature. Molly was still in a isolette. That is why she still did not have any clothes on.

This is how we found Molly that morning. The nurse swore she was on her back when she last checked her. Somehow Molly had flipped over and buried her head in her snuggly. I didn't
understand why the monitors weren't going off!! Well she must have felt our presence because
at that very moment the monitors sirens started blaring!

Mr. Luke looking all handsome wearing clothes for the first time! This was a preemie sleeper that hung on him still!

Don't forget to enter my Applebees give-away!

Such beautiful pictures! My daughter liked to be on her tummy too. Because she was so closely monitored, the nurses let her seep that way in the NICU, because she was much more calm. My twins were born at about 4 1/2 pounds each and I thought that was small. I can't imagine them being smaller. It's so great that you have these pictures. And NICU nurses are amazing aren't they?

What tiny little miracle babies...turned into such precious 3-year olds...wow. :) :)

That makes me think what our first family photo was...I'm not sure...but I'll have to go back and look. I do remember the first time I held both babies. It brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it!

What tiny, tiny little babies. Seeing how big and strong they look now, no one would ever suspect that that is how their lives began. I can't believe Miss Molly flipped herself over! She must be one tough cookie! :o)
