Fun in the Sand!

I hate to even admit this, but we finally broke out the kids sand box for the first time this summer. I really wish we would have sooner after I saw how much fun Luke had. Usually when we go in the back yard to play he doesn't stand still, but as soon as he stepped foot in the sand box we couldn't get him out. Talk about having a good time. He had a ball. We defiantly will be playing in the sand box allot more.

We did not get the same reaction from Miss Prissy Pants. She wouldn't step foot in the dirty box.
She would fill her shovel.
and dump it in the lid of the sand box.She then proceeded to cough from the dust blowing off the sand.
This is what I am talking about Mom.
My daughter is going to be a Princess when she grows up. She likes her accessories. For example - Sun Glasses (shades as she calls them), necklaces, bracelets, hair accessories and shoes. She will not leave the house without them. I think Todd and I are in real trouble. It may be a good thing we can't have any more children, since she is going to cost us an arm and leg.
I have my tough, strong, handsome boy and my sweet, nice, pretty girl. What else does a Mom need?

Baby Shower!

Molly and Luke got to see their NICU Mommy Amanda tonight. I am so sad I didn't think to get a picture of her and the kids.We went to her baby shower and had a great time. She is due in September, so she doesn't have too long to go. Bless her heart! I have posted here a few times about her. She was my saving grace during the twins NICU stay. I am so happy for her and her DH Bryan! They are going to be wonderful parents.

My Nana

So sorry these pictures are poor quality, but I took them with my phone. I forgot my camera. Todd and I took the kids to see my 100 year old Nana (their Great Grandma) this past Saturday. She is an amazing woman. She lived on her own up until the last 4 years. She is now living in an assisted living home.

She loves seeing my kids. She will talk about their visit for days.

This bear is in the main entrance of Nana's home. Molly loves it.

I am so lucky that I have had my Nana for 34 years. I really hope she lives long enough for my kids to remember her. They have given her so much joy these last 2 years.

Ladies Man

Is it wrong to already think about my kids teenage years? (note the message on Luke shirt) I am already dreading it. I don't want to share my little boy with another girl. I feel stupid already thinking about it, since he is only 2 and 1/2. I just know how fast the last 2 years has gone. I feel like it will be tomorrow and I will be sending them off to college. Why does the time have to go so fast? I want to remember every detail of their being and I so afraid of forgetting. It is making me want another baby really bad, but for me it is not that easy. I know I am not alone, but it doesn't make it any easier. Nor does it stop me from feeling sorry for myself. I know this - I will not take for granted any time I have with my 2 babies.

Sorry I have nothing......but pictures.

Cheesing it up for the camera.

Blowing kisses to Mom.
Sibling love! :)
Another sweet kiss picture.

Warning TMI - Does this look like a face of a boy that has started sticking his hand down his pants after he goes number 2? Don't let him fool you! He has done it 5 times this past week. Thank goodness he hasn't made a mess with it. He just does it and comes running to one of us laughing. I don't find it very funny and I don't think Daddy or Nannie does either. GROSS!!!
We hope everyone has a great next week!

Sunday Shopping

Molly being a good shopper and Luke trying to escape.
Todd and I are in the market for the a new washer and dryer. I think we have decided what we want, but went today to price compare. Hopefully the Mays household will have a new set next weekend. Molly loves shopping, but Luke hates it. I know that most boys do, but sometimes Luke takes it to the extreme. He screams as soon as we hit the door. I don't know if it is because he knows we will contain him in a cart or what? Then we fight him the entire time to stay seated. Yes, we use the safety belts. He knows how to undo them. Wishing everyone a good week! :)

Nope, Luke's not ready!

I think I can positively say Luke is not ready to start potty training.
He would rather use the potty for his Lego collection. The last few days he has been filling up the seat to use as a basket to carry all over the house.

He stopped here to build.

Todd and I haven't started the potty training process at all. I really don't think Molly or Luke is ready. We could probably start introducing it to Molly, but I am not ready for the challenge. Call me lazy. I just can not imagine having to take my babies into a public restroom. It totally freaks me out. They are still in the phase of having to touch everything. Talk about GROSS! I know it has to be done, but they are not even 2 and 1/2. I figured I could start now and it take 6 months or start when they are really showing interest in it. Then maybe it will only take a few months. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to comment. I need all the help I can get.

Molly's first Barbie

We went to Kohl's last night and Molly saw the Toy Story 3 Barbie. She just had to have it. She kept saying PRINCESS over and over. Once we got home Buzz became her baby again. Molly and Luke are Toy Story CRAZY right now. I wish they were old enough to take to see 3, but 1 & 2 are new to them. They can watch them all day long.
